In the sweltering heat of the African savanna, a solitary buffalo faced a life-or-death struggle at a watering hole. Its hind leg was firmly in the grip of a lion, leaving it completely immobilized. There were no other buffalo in sight to offer assistance, and it seemed hopelessly alone.
The buffalo let out a painful roar, a desperate cry for help. Yet, the lion held its ground, patiently waiting for its prey to weaken. Just as the buffalo was on the verge of giving up all hope, something incredible happened.

A herd of buffalo appeared in the distance, kicking up a cloud of dust as they thundered toward the scene. As if they had heard their friend's agonizing cries, the massive herd charged forward at full speed, ready to confront the menacing lion.
Taken by surprise by the unexpected arrival of the buffalo’s comrades, the lion finally released its grip on the struggling buffalo’s leg. The lion hesitated for a moment, looking back with a clear sense of frustration, but was then met with a fresh charge from another buffalo that aggressively drove it away for good.

In the end, the lion was forced to flee, and the herd successfully saved their endangered companion. While the law of the jungle is often seen as a brutal battle of the fittest, this act of sublime courage—risking one’s own life for a friend—is a deeply moving display.
